What does this model do?
Identify geographical locations - countries, cities, oceans, rivers, etc. - found in a body of text or a document. The entities are normalised to Latitude, Longitude and Elevation - and include the Geonames Database location ID, population estimates etc.
Who should use this model?
Analysts and Researchers that are interested in identifying specific location information related to a news post, social media post, blog or other text-based information.
The Location model can be combined with the Skim Engine's Address Extraction model to identify the location of a business or person where the address is given on the page.
Extremely useful for verification purposes in combination with other competitor intelligence services offered by Skim.
