Darren has a BEng, MSc and PhD in Biomedical Engineering. He has been employed at Smith & Nephew for over 24 yrs working in research and development primarily in orthopaedics, trauma and robotics. He has been awarded over £15m in UK, EU and US grants for international collaborative R&D projects, filed patents and peer reviewed papers in smart implants, robotics and wearable technology. He also has several product design innovate awards in smart technology

Ben is a Managing Associate at intellectual property (IP) law firm EIP. As a member of EIP’s Codiphy team, he advises on all aspects of IP in relation to software and data, with a particular focus on AI. Ben has a PhD in applied mathematics and is a qualified UK and European patent attorney.
Tom is CTO of Deeper Insights. He has a PhD in Machine Learning with a strong background in solving complex classification, regression, detection and prediction problems with Artificial Intelligence
