Whats the background?

DACS is a not-for-profit visual artists’ rights management organisation. They're passionate about transforming the financial landscape for visual artists through innovative new products and services and act as a trusted broker for 100,000 artists worldwide.

DACS came to Deeper Insights with a clear strategy in mind, to turn their laborious process of identifying new artwork sales and processing new invoices into a semi-automated system that would both save on unnecessary resources, as well as identifying more royalty qualifying artwork sales.

Deeper Insights were introduced through a recommendation from another client, and quickly gained knowledge of the existing manual processes, and identified opportunities for Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing to be applied in ways that would meet the current strategy for the organisation.

What were your goals for this project?

Valuable time invested in sourcing forecast information for ARR qualifying sales from various websites will no longer be required. ​ Generation of potential leads to boost recruitment drive and ultimately increase revenue growth.​

What was the solution Deeper Insights built?

Their unique Skim Engine is used to gather the data from a number of trusted sources, and the rest of the solution is made up of a set of custom Art Type and Art Royalty Qualifying Machine Learning models, Databases, hosted APIs, Visualisations via a cloud-based dashboard and an active learning​ workflow to train the supervised models.

The result

DACS is now leveraging on Artificial Intelligence capabilities to improve internal processes for ARR forecasting and increase revenue generation capacity.​

Skim Technologies led on the management of the project with frequent and ad-hoc engagements with stakeholders at DACS.

The service continues to be improved and we expect to have a fully automated end-to-end service in place soon following a successful SAP integration.
